Volunteer Program

Volunteers bring a wealth of experience and skills to facilitate meaningful programs and aid in the delivery of services at the neighbourhood house.  

Our volunteer program consists of:

• Core Volunteer Team
• Food Relief Support
• Morning Tea Support
• Kitchen Crew Support
• Community Garden

Requirements

Prospective volunteers must:

• Interview to ensure suitability for our neighbourhood house
• Provide a Working with Children Check (free)
• Be reliable and punctual
• Express cultural sensitivity and humility
• Be able to lift and bend (e.g. 10kg boxes of food)
• Ideal but not required: ability to speak Arabic, Mandarin, Persian
