Charles: Charles Ficara is a finance and technology professional with experience across strategy, governance, operations and organisational transformation. A Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) with a Master of Information Technology (Honours), he has worked across a range of industries and organisations, helping boards and leadership teams strengthen financial management, governance, risk and long-term planning.

Charles lives in Melbourne’s inner north and joined the Reservoir Neighbourhood House Board with a strong interest in contributing to his local community in a practical and meaningful way. He believes neighbourhood houses play an important role in building connection, participation and opportunity, while providing services that respond directly to the needs of their communities.

He brings a broad, systems-focused perspective to the Board, with particular interests in financial sustainability, good governance, technology, organisational capability and strategic planning. Charles is especially interested in helping RNH build strong foundations that allow it to remain responsive, sustainable and connected to the Reservoir community over the long term.

Katherine: Katherine is an experienced non-executive director and senior public sector leader with more than 20 years’ experience in governance, strategic leadership and public-purpose organisations across government and the not-for-profit sector.

She brings broad experience in board oversight, financial stewardship, risk management, organisational strategy and stakeholder engagement, and has led teams and organisations through periods of change and complexity across Australia and New Zealand.

A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Katherine is passionate about good governance that is practical, inclusive and focused on making a positive difference. She values the role community organisations play in creating connection, opportunity and a sense of belonging, and is pleased to contribute her experience to Reservoir Neighbourhood House and the local community.
